Eaglefield and Millennium Coal Mine Expansion Projects

Survey and report on historic heritage in preparation for an EIS. Recording of first settlement infrastructure including wells, cattle yards and homestead remains, some dating to pre 1880s.

Bremer Mills Estate Cultural Heritage Management Plan

Location: Ipswich, Queensland | Year: 2009-10 | Client: Walker Corporation
Develop a cultural heritage management plan for a light industrial complex. The CHMP incorporates significant heritage items - including early settlement building footings, coal mining infrastructure and early sandstone quarries - into a modern industrial environment.

Excavation of Petrie Terrace Prison and Police Barracks

Excavate and record information on the additions to the site in preparation for a new development. Detail the changes in use over a 130 years period from a prison to a police barracks. Joint project with Thom Blake, Historian.

Cultural Heritage Assessment of Brisbane’s Inner Northern Busway

Undertake a cultural heritage study to assess the possibility of disturbance to archeological material along the route and arrange any necessary permits with the EPA. Joint project with Thom Blake, Historian.

Northern Missing Link Railway Project

Location: Collinsville, Queensland | Year: 2009-10 | Client: Queensland Rail
Conduct a review of cultural heritage management systems in order to provide greater efficiency and more effective impact mitigation practices for the Missing Link Project. Undertake Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Duty of Care Assessments along the proposed route. Work with the Biri People Native Title group to undertake surveys (site clearances) and reporting. Develop agreements between the client and Aboriginal Parties to fulfill their obligations under the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 (Qld).

Cherrabah Resort Development

Undertake an archaeological assessment against the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 (Qld) Duty of Care Guidelines. Negotiate with the Aboriginal Party and produce a Cultural Heritage Management Plan Agreement in accordance with legislative requirements.
