Wayne Beck earned a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Archaeology and Palaeoanthropology and was awarded first class Honours. Wayne has worked in the field of archaeology for over fifteen years, as an environment and cultural heritage assistant and an environment and cultural heritage technician. In these roles he gained extensive knowledge of both Aboriginal and European Cultural Heritage issues and he managed the implementation of Environmental and Cultural Heritage systems. In his technician role, Wayne also gained experience in project management with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment and Indigenous and Non- Indigenous cultural heritage related consultancies.
Wayne is skilled in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and has experience producing, using and maintaining GIS relational databases for cultural heritage, environmental and land management tasks.
