Emma Baird

Archaeologist / Assistant to Director

Emma completed her Honours Class I degree in Archaeology at the University of Queensland, as well as a Master of Museum Studies specialising in museum outreach and community engagement. Since starting with Everick at the beginning of 2018, Emma has been actively involved in consultation and CHMP/CHMA negotiations for various projects. She has also assisted with project execution, organisational strategies and document drafting.

Emma possesses skills in archaeological survey and excavations, artefact identification, community consultation, report writing and preparation of Cultural Heritage Management Agreements and Cultural Heritage Management Plans under Part 7 of the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act (Qld) 2003. She is also experienced in the overall process for managing Aboriginal Cultural Heritage in Queensland and the statutory requirements.
