Rio Tinto Collaborative Heritage Management with Traditional Owners

The Project

In this project, Everick Heritage provides long-term and suitably qualified heritage consultants to assist in the delivery of heritage services for Rio Tinto, WA. This includes preparing scopes of work, reviewing reports, analysing data, facilitating heritage surveys and providing GIS services. To date, Everick has partnered with Rio Tinto on multiple projects, seconding up to fifteen archaeologists to the Traditional Owner Partnership and Resource Development teams. This collaboration has supported Rio Tinto’s partnerships with the Robe River Kuruma, Puutu Kunti Kurrama and Pinikura, Eastern Guruma, Yinhawangka, Banjima, Ngarla, Nyiyaparli and Ngarluma Peoples.
